Week 12 Photography

This week in week 12 of EDCI 337 we are learning the key components of smartphone photography, learning about your phone’s camera settings can be tricky. Each phone has different settings and it definitely takes time to learn. I encourage each user to take out their smartphone and instead of just pointing and clicking at the object to go through each of their settings and playing with it to understand and get the right lighting and focus for each photo they take.

Talking about images and photography we can also look at what else images are used for, images can contribute to your learning experience and even enhance your understanding. Creating a positive outcome for the user to want to learn more about the subject. As we have talked about in one of our previous lessons visual learning helps you store more information for a longer period of time. Images directly processed by long term memory increases a students retition. I do agree that using images in learning add to the text piece because it helps explain the text in a more clear sense then just reading the paragraph of text.

I personally am not too familiar with my camera settings but this lab that we just learned from I just had helped me learn a few more things on my camera settings and how I can get better quality photos.

I have added a phew photos so you can see the difference.

Focusing on the arrows and bluring the rest of the photo
changing the details to the photo and adding sharper look to the target and holes around it
